Client Computation

Client Computation is the final tax computation that can only be generated by a user in the Manager role.
1. Client computation is generated when you as a user in the Manager role, click on the APPROVE ASSESSMENT button in the Manager Review tab. This generates the final tax computation under the Client Computation tab. The final tax computation is generated both in pdf and excel formats.


2. The Manager and Preparer are still allowed to make changes to the Workspace and re-generate the tax computation until they are satisfied.

3. Once you (Manager role) are sure of the final tax computation, you can click on SEND TO CLIENT button. This opens up a email configuration dialog box as shown below.   

4. The email message is editable. Uncheck the email addresses you do not wish to send an email to. You can add in email addresses in the Other boxes. Once done, click on the SEND button.
5. This will send an email to the client and a notification to the client portal as well. The client will be directed to the AI.TaxAssist portal upon clicking on the link in the email.
6. The client can then login to his/her portal to view the tax computation. At this stage, you as the Manager and the Preparer are not allowed to make any more changes to the workspace items or the tax computation.
 

7. Once the client approves the final tax computation, you can click on MARK CLIENT APPROVAL button to record the approval in the system.

8. In the event that the tax computation is not approved by the client or more changes need to be made, click on ROLLBACK button. This will enable you or the Preparer to make changes to the Workspace, raise OSI, raise review etc.                                                                                     

9. Once client approval has been marked, the tax form can be generated by clicking on the GENERATE TAX FORM button.
